In Elafonisos you can go by road from Athens, via national road Athens-Korinthos. The distance up to Neapoli of Laconia is 356 km. From Athens is executed daily itineraries with buses of KTEL. 

From Pounta you will pass opposite with the local Ferry-boat and boats, that the summertime has frequent and regular itineraries. 

You can find proposed routes from Athens or Rio to Sparta and from there to Elafonisos.
